Located in the Heart of NC, 3 miles South of the Geographic Center of the State, the Town of Biscoe represents everything that is good about this great State. Whether you're traveling to the beaches or the mountains, Biscoe is your midway point to Everywhere.

Biscoe

Incorporated in 1901, Biscoe was an important repair center for railroad equipment. At one time, the town was designated as the headquarters for repairs on all train operations west of Raleigh.

And while railroad is no longer a major industry for the area, it remains a thriving small town community, rich with family-friendly activities and local charm. Home to over 1,750 people, Biscoe serves as a retail hub for a large trade area that includes the townships of Troy, Candor, Robbins, Emery and Star, NC.

Retail includes a WalMart Supercenter, Dollar Tree, Food Lion, numerous restaurants and locally famous PR Moore Produce.

The area is also home to unique, innovative businesses such as Montgomery Sheep Farm, a unique property that is home to over 500 head of sheep, horses, and other animals, and is also a state of the art solar micro-grid renewable energy project.
