The Perfect Nature Getaway For The Whole family is Closer than you think

No matter where you are, chances are the Uwharries are easy to get to. With its center-of-the-state location, the area is two hours or less from Greensboro, Raleigh and Charlotte. Simply point your car (or kayak) toward one of our many attractions, or start your adventure at the Discover Uwharrie Welcome Center in downtown Troy.

Directions from Greensboro: Take I-73 to US-220 BUS S/Dawson Miller Rd in Randolph County. Take exit 68 from          I-73/I-74. Follow NC-134 S to W Main St in Troy.

Directions from Charlotte: Head east on NC-27 E/Albemarle Rd (accessible off I-74/Independence Blvd). Continue to follow NC-27 E for close to 38 miles. In Albemarle, turn right onto NC-24 E/NC-27 W/E Main St. Continue to follow NC-24 E/NC-27 W for 16.2 miles. Turn left onto NC-24 E/NC-27 E.  Pass by Advance Auto Parts (on the right in 1.2 mi). Destination will be on the left

Directions from Raleigh: Take US-1 S and US-15 S/US-501 S approximately 58.3 miles to Monroe St in Carthage. Follow NC-24 W/NC-27 W for 30 miles to E Main St in Troy.
